Flour, Sugar, and Oils

The below foods are poor sources of nutrients and your first step to a healthier life is taking them out of your diet!

Remove the following foods during your reset diet:

 

Grains/Flour:

 

  • Bagels
  • Biscotti
  • Bread
  • Breaded or floured meats
  • Brownies
  • Cake
  • Cereal
  • Cookies
  • Cornbread
  • Crackers
  • Doughnuts
  • Fried Food (with a flour coating)
  • Gravy
  • Imitation meat (often contains wheat)
  • Imitation Seafood (often contains wheat)
  • Lunchmeat (often made with wheat – check ingredients)
  • Malt
  • Matzo
  • Meatballs
  • Meatloaf
  • Muffins
  • Panini
  • Pasta
  • Pie
  • Pizza
  • Salad dressing (sometimes contains wheat – check ingredients)
  • Scones
  • Seasoning Mixes (some contain flour/wheat – check ingredients)
  • Snack bars (often contain flour – check ingredients)
  • Soup (made with flour – check ingredients)
  • Soy sauce (contains wheat)

Sugar:

  • Agave syrup/nectar
  • Brown rice syrup
  • Brown Sugar
  • Caramel
  • Coconut sugar/nectar
  • Corn syrup (also high fructose corn syrup)
  • Date sugar
  • Evaporated cane juice
  • Maple syrup
  • Molasses
  • Palm sugar
  • Rapadura sugar
  • Sorghum syrup
  • Turbinado sugar
  • White sugar
  • Yacon syrup
  • Honey

 

Artificial Sweeteners:

  • Aspartame (Equal/Nutrasweet)
  • Saccharin (Sweet N’ Low)
  • Sucralose (Splenda)

 

Oils:

  • Canola oil
  • Crisco
  • Corn oil
  • Cottonseed oil
  • Grapeseed oil
  • Peanut oil
  • Safflower oil
  • Sesame oil
  • Soy oil
  • Rapeseed oil
  • Vegetable oil
